Seven Deadly Sins: Sloth by Procrust Seven Deadly Sins: Sloth by Procrust
After two previous sins – Wrath and Lust - my series of artworks “Seven Deadly Sins” are increased now by the third one - Sloth (lat. Acedia). The least dangerous and deadly ex facte. But I suppose I should remind someone, who thinks so, about criminal negligence leadind to unfortunate results and very often to the death of many people.
Anyway I find sloth a disgusting sin. That's why I used green and yellow colours here on this piece. As you see his clothes are transparent and fluid as glue - this is the substance of Sloth. Also he carries mandolin... hmm... to entertain himself... I don't know, I always associate laziness with medieval musicians and minstrels)

Hope you like it! The next sin... let it be a surprise!)

PS: Special thanks to Astrkv [link] for assistance and support!

Also you can see another sins

Totally amazing. On a personal note, I don't like the fact that playing music is associated with lazziness, although that's not your fault. I guess people historically do not consider playing music as "real work". Even in stories like "The Three Little Pigs" and the one with the "Grasshopper and the Ant", the musicians are always portrayed as lazy.

I love the details, like the hairs on the legs. ^_^
Though I have to say that playing an instrument is in my opinion not a sign for sloth. I mean if you are playing then you are active, maybe even composing a new piece. But this is only my personal opinion of the symbol and has nothing to to with the art itself.
